Rick, Joost and Paul Kuijf launched Learned in 2018 after noticing that HR departments often rely on the gut feeling of managers, in contrast to how other departments work much more data-driven.
This leads to biased decisions in people management, for example in evaluations, promotions and rewards, ultimately leading to dissatisfaction, reduced involvement and higher turnover among employees.
