UX/UI Design Internship – Start September 2025

Are you passionate about creating intuitive, user-friendly designs that enhance the experience of thousands of users? You thrive in a fast-moving start-up, you’re comfortable with short design loops, and balancing pragmatism with ambition to deliver impactful solutions. Do you want to gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing HR tech company? At Learned, we’re looking for a UX/UI Design Intern to join our team from September 2025 for at least 5 months.

Where will you be working?

We are Learned, a fast-growing and young organization on a mission to innovate the traditional HR market. With our Performance Management software, we help companies assess work performance fairly and objectively, ensuring that everyone in the workplace gets the opportunity to grow and be rewarded accordingly. We currently serve around 250 clients and are growing rapidly—we were just nominated for the Deloitte Technology Fast 50!

What You’ll Do

As a UX/UI intern, you’ll be part of our Product team, working closely with UX designers, our product owner, and developers. You’ll also collaborate with the Customer Success team to understand user needs and refine your designs based on real feedback.

Your average workweek (including time allocation) looks as follows:

• Creating designs at various levels of fidelity, from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes in Figma. (50%)

• Tailoring designs for user testing and development handover, ensuring clarity in all details. (30%)

• Participating in product team meetings, including product weekly and user testing sessions. (10%)

• Focusing on your learning goals, with support from a dedicated mentor and relevant projects to help you grow. (10%)

What We Offer

Internship compensation: 500 euro per month at a fulltime internship. 
On-the-job coaching from experienced UX designers 

What We’re Looking For

• You’re available for at least 5 months (4 or 5 days per week).

• You have experience with Figma and are eager to learn and improve.

• You’re currently enrolled as a student.

• You’re available to work from our Utrecht office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
